Overview

Brain Land is a structured yet supportive camp designed to help children build learning routines, stay engaged with tasks, and develop independence in their work. This camp is a great way to wrap up the summer, giving children an opportunity to ease back into a structured environment while receiving support with their individual learning needs.

In today’s environment, children are naturally exposed to a wide range of media, and it has become increasingly common for many children to find it challenging to sit with a task, stay engaged, and complete work without constant stimulation.

This is not unique to any one child—it is something we are seeing more broadly across many children.

As an intervention-based centre, we understand how important it is for children to build the ability to initiate, sustain, and complete tasks independently. However, these skills can sometimes take a back seat to other priorities during regular programming.

For this reason, we have intentionally designed Brain Land as a closing camp for the summer—to provide children with a supportive opportunity to practice these essential learning skills in a structured, encouraging environmentUnlike other themed camps, Brain Land focuses on creating a “mini study environment” where children can work on their own materials with guidance and support.

Children may:

• Bring their own homework, workbooks, or reading materials

• Continue with learning materials they are already using at home

• Use centre-provided materials tailored to their level (if they do not have their own)

This camp is designed to help children:

• Build task persistence and work stamina

• Practice focusing and completing tasks within a structured time

• Develop independence in learning

• Increase willingness to participate in academic activities

• Gain confidence in their ability to complete work

How the Program Is Run

This program is led by a Junior Behaviour Consultant (JBC) with extensive experience as an Educational Assistant (EA), ensuring that children receive structured, appropriate support during their work time.

Daily Routine

Each day follows a consistent and predictable structure to help children feel comfortable and ready to learn:

Who Is This Program a Good Fit For?

This program is a good fit for children who:

• Are able to participate in a structured setting for short periods of time

• May need support with staying on task or completing work

• Are more willing to engage in learning within a structured environment than at home

• Can communicate their basic needs (verbally or using other communication methods)

👉 This camp is especially helpful for children who:

• Struggle to start or finish work at home

• Benefit from external structure and guidance

• Need support building learning habits and routines

Additional Support if Needed

Some children may be required to have 1:1 support (additional cost) if they:

• Strongly resist adult support during group participation

• Tend to run or leave the area (elopement)

• Show behaviours that are unsafe to themselves or others (This is for the safety matter for everyone. We appreciate your understanding in advance.)

If you are unsure, we are happy to discuss this with you before registration.

🙏 Our group rate is set to remain affordable while maintaining a low staff-to-student ratio (maximum 1:3). Therefore, we appreciate everyone’s understanding to apply the late pick-up policy of $4 per 5 minutes after 1pm.

🙏 If your child is outside of this age range but you are interested in enrolling him/her, please inquire to our team before registration.
