Create_land

Description

Welcome to Create_land, a program for children aged 4.5 to 7 years old, where imagination and creativity take center stage! This week, our theme revolves around engaging in creative activities like art, craft, and scientific experiments.

Our objectives are to:

  • Facilitate executive functioning skills by guiding children to follow multiple steps of instructions independently.

  • Enhance social conversation skills through interactive show and tell activities

  • Social skills to respect how others are doing things differently

  • Emotional regulation skills to accept that it is okay to make a mistake and not to be perfect!

Suitability

Create-land is designed for children who:

  • Often get distracted while completing tasks with multiple steps.

  • Need extra support to ask various questions to show care for others.

  • Have difficulty answering questions from their peers.

  • May need guidance on what is appropriate to say in social situations.

  • Struggle with accepting that it's okay to make mistakes.

Learning Environment

Create-land provides an encouraging and flexible environment where children's creativity can flourish. We believe in allowing room for exploration and mistakes, fostering a growth mindset where children learn that it's okay to make mistakes and that creativity knows no bounds.

Parental Involvement

Parents will be kept informed about their child's progress, with suggestions on how to support continuous learning goals at home after the program ends. We believe in a partnership between school and home to ensure the best outcomes for your child.
