Overview
Game Land is a play-based camp where children learn how to follow rules, wait their turn, and participate appropriately within a group through a variety of fun and engaging activities. This camp is based on one of our previous group themes, often referred to as “Followers,” and focuses on helping children engage in group play while following shared expectations.
Rather than academic learning, the focus is on learning through play, especially in situations where children need to:
• Follow group rules
• Wait and take turns
• Adjust their behaviour within a group
• Participate alongside peers in structured activities
Throughout the week, children will engage in both tabletop and movement-based games, many of which are designed based on SUMMER theme.
Examples of activities may include:
• Team-based imaginative play (e.g., building and decorating a large “boat” together and travelling to different “islands” to complete missions)
• Turn-taking board games
• Group movement games that involve following instructions
• Simple cooperative challenges where children must work together within rules
These activities are designed to help children:
• Learn how to follow rules within a group setting
• Practice waiting, turn-taking, and patience
• Develop executive functioning skills (e.g., inhibition, shifting, staying with a plan)
• Improve social participation and peer interaction
• Build confidence in joining and sustaining group play
How the Program Is Run
This camp is led by our Behaviour Consultants (BCs) or Junior Behaviour Consultants (JBCs), with additional support from our Behaviour Interventionists (BIs).
We understand that every child is different. Children are not expected to be at the same level to participate. Understanding and giving the right level of prompts are key and we provide it ;-)
Daily Routine
Each day follows a consistent and predictable structure to help children feel comfortable and ready to learn:

Who Is This Program a Good Fit For?
This program is a good fit for children who:
• Are between 5.5–8 years old
• Can participate in a small group setting with the general support
• Can communicate their basic needs (verbally or using other communication methods)
• Can follow simple group instructions with guidance
Additional Support if Needed
Some children may be required to have 1:1 support (additional cost) if they:
• Strongly resist adult support during group participation
• Tend to run or leave the area (elopement)
• Show behaviours that are unsafe to themselves or others (This is for the safety matter for everyone. We appreciate your understanding in advance.)
If you are unsure, we are happy to discuss this with you before registration.
🙏 Our group rate is set to remain affordable while maintaining a low staff-to-student ratio (maximum 1:3). Therefore, we appreciate everyone’s understanding to apply the late pick-up policy of $4 per 5 minutes after 1pm.
🙏 If your child is outside of this age range but you are interested in enrolling him/her, please inquire to our team before registration.
*Only groups with a minimum of 4 learners will be confirmed.
